Your Outlook.pst file is in C:\Documents and Settings\ your username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook (check show hidden files and folders in Windows Explorer, Tools, Folder options, view tab to see that folder). So if you use Office Outlook, be sure first to copy your outlook.pst file to a safe place and make a note of your email account settings, so that you can import your email and contact data back into Outlook and set up your email accounts again afterwards.
